Producing Crosstabulations in SPSS
Click Statistics > Summarize >
Crosstabs... By
convention, assign the independent variable to the Column(s):
and the dependent variable to the Row(s):
Then, choose Cells... to obtain
column percentages. To add one or more control variables,
add each additional variable as a new Layer.
Obtaining Descriptive and Inferential Statistics for Crosstabs
In the Crosstabs... dialog
box, click on Statistics...
Select Gamma or Chi-square, if applicable.
